Demos Builders, Inc. provides an eco-minded general contracting firm dedicated to the promotion and practice of 4 core principles:

Builder Profile

Voted the 2006 "Builder of the Year" by the Asheville Home Builders Association (AHBA), Demos Builders, Inc. is owned and operated Jim Demos, a member of the WNC Green Building Council's Board of Directors, and builder member of the AHBA. We are very proud to announce that our company's Village Park residence took both "Best in Show" as well as the "Gold Craftsman" award in the 2006 Asheville Parade of Homes.

A "Demos Built" house is distinguished by its thoughtful design that blends the vintage with the modern, while ensuring that each house "fits" within the given neighborhood's architectural style. We pride ourselves on being green builders by striving to reduce the footprints our homes make on the planet.

Our practice is guided by conscientious resource management, designing high-performance homes that are built tight and ventilated right, and maximizing the energy-efficiency of the home and all its constituent parts. These techniques translate to reduced operational costs, increased comfort, and a happier and healthier life-style for the homeowner. Demos Builders, Inc. builds approximately 4 new homes a year, and 1-2 renovations in which older homes are retrofitted with earth-friendly materials and practices. All of our homes are energy-efficient HealthyBuilt® certified, and feature smart designs with open floor-plans and flex spaces, user-friendly outdoor living areas, top quality finish materials that contribute to healthy indoor air quality for your family, and durability that will outlast our competitors.
